The Mercy of God

Vindicate me, LORD, for I have lead a blameless life. I have trusted in the LORD and not faultered.

Test me, LORD, and try me, examine my heart and mind.

For I have always been mindful of your unfailing love and have lived in reliance on your faithfulness.

Psalm 26: 1-3

The righteousness of Christ Jesus was impossible to achieve for any human being. Though he wants us to share in his righteousness as we walk in his way. We must remember his love and religh upon his faithfulness.

God calls us to repentance and leading a righteous life. He loves us and knows what is good for us. The Psalmist knew that God was in control and we can know the same if we only believe. God is with us and in control. He grants us the strength to do what is right and to get through the hard times.

Repent for the Kingdom of heaven is near. Matthew 3:2.

But our merciful God doesn't command us to do the impossible. He knows that we are weak and only children in our hearts.

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

Romans 3:23

Still, Romans 6:2 explains that we cannot continue to sin and that grace shouldn't be an excuse for us being reckless. God asks us to do what we are capable of. He is merciful. Christ Jesus pleads our case as we limp along doing our best.

Saten, the accuser, is the enemy of our souls. When we are assured of our innocence it is all the better. We stand stronger when we know that we have been doing what's right. When our conscience is against us it weakens our faith. Still, no one is perfect and no one does what is right.  It is the cross of Christ that permits us to call out as the Psalmist did and say, "I am blameless! Vindicate me O God!"

God, our defender. The Psalmist reminds us that God will be there for us. We cannot stand on our own.

God tests us. We must remain faithful till the end not losing sight of his plan and his Kingdom. God grants us perseverance to endure.

You are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a different sort of people who should show forth the praises of him who has called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.

1 Peter 2:9

He has taken the small and weak and exaulted them. He has taken the lowly and called them royalty. What a privilege! All because of what he did for us on the cross. Which can be found toward the end of Matthew, Mark, Luke or John.

Love overlooks a multitude of sins.

1 Peter 4:8

And though we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Romans 5:8

Let us show our gratitude toward him by being the best we can be.
